She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Christopher and Florence Ethel Syms (Schilling); her son Ray Hensley; her siblings, Jay Syms, Wilma, Ethel and Jean; and her grandson Skylar.

She is survived by : her husband Vern Hensley; her children, Ronald Dean, Leland Hensley (Mary Jane) of Mooreland, Leroy Hensley (Anna Faye) of Great Bend, Kansas, Lowell Hensley (Barbara) of Woodward, Dean Hensley (Eileen) of Mooreland and Leah Hepner of Mooreland; her daughter-in-law Joleen Hensley of Mooreland; her brother Walter C. Syms of Mooreland; and her brother-in-law Gene Beard of Udall, Kansas. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mooreland Fire Fighters Association with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
