He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Gerard and Gene Gerard; his son Elvin Gerard; and his grandson Andrew DeCocq. He is survived by: his wife Debora J. Gerard; his children, Jeri Gerard and Gene Gerard; his granddaughters, Diane DeCocq, Victoria DeCocq and Cassandra DeCocq Twyman; his great grandchildren, Eden, Jackson, Matty, Maximus and Elektra; his daughters, Danielle McKenzie (Steve), Rachel Roberts and Kathryn Owens (Josh); his grandchildren, Alec McKenzie (Megan), Ashton McKenzie, Sebastian, Zoë Kreydie and Alice Owens; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Addison McKenzie; and his parents-in-law, John and Kathryne Curry. He is also survived by other loving extended family and friends.
