He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Sims and Dena Sims; his son Preston Eugene; and his siblings, T. W. Sims, Margaret Green, Georgia Jennings, Lois Hellman, Evelyn Timmons and Ruth Sexton.
He is survived by: his children, Russell Wayne, Kay and Gina; and his siblings, Lewis Sims, Peggy Harber and Mildred Kepler. He is also survived by numerous other friends and family.
