He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Dale Ashley and Margire Marie (Carnes); his former wife Patricia Kathleen (Jones); his son Melvon Scott Ashley; and his brothers, Allen Dale Ashley, Jr. (Sandy) and Jerry Mitchell Ashley (Vickie).
He is survived by: his wife Doris (McMurray); his brother Larry Ashley; his stepchildren, Melissa McMurray (John Ghezzi) and Bobby Holmes (Dianna); his grandchildren, Jessica Brown (Cameron), Patricia Ashley (Clint Prince), Toni Holtz (Anthony), Patrick Ashley (Priscilla Scott) and Christopher Ashley (S'vana); his stepgrandchildren, Kendra Barton (Robert Ballenger), Savannah Lahna, Adonica Ghezzi, Izabella Ghezzi and Ethan Holmes; and his great grandchildren, Keinan, Talyn, Lucas, Winter, Payton, Ashton, Genesis and Heath. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and beloved friends.
