He was predeceased by: his parents, Afa B. Hardy and Dora J. Hardy (Ramsey); his wife Betty Jean Hardy; and his siblings, Lorraine Benson, Ivan Hardy, Ramsey Hardy, Derrell Hardy, Ival Hardy, Glenalis Brown, Zelma West and Lavoy Hardy.
He is survived by: his son Cary Dean Hardy; and his daughters-in-law, Lori (Jeffrey Hardy) and Sonja. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
