He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Loy and Jessie Lee Loy (Pettitt). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Loy; his children, Carol Thompson (Eric), Brigitte Lewis (Ross) and Jesse Loy II (Carolyn); and his grandchildren, Danny Taylor, Monica Lewis, Austin Lewis (Keren) and Hunter Loy.
