He was predeceased by: his son Terry Wayne Spies; his former wives, Emma Jean (Burkes) and Diane (Wilp); and his siblings, Wayne Spies and Betty Greb.
He is survived by: his pet Science; his wife RaeNell Spies; his son Russell Spies (Nancy) of Kirkland, WA; his stepdaughters, Sherie MacKenzie (Mike) of Austin, TX and Teri Caudle (Tim) of Moore, OK; his grandchildren, Kyle Spies (Xueyang), Melissa Williams, Greer Caudle and Adler Caudle; and his sister-in-law Joann Spies. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends.
