It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommy Ayers of Monkey Island, Oklahoma, born in Bluejacket, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Leroy Ayres and Eva Smyth (Streeter); his stepson Travis Whiting; and his grandson Kyle Kelly. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Ayres (Buley); his children, Shari Murphree (Roxy) of Grove, Oklahoma, Ed Ayres (Portia) of Fairland and Michael Ayres (Mary) of Carl Junction, Missouri; his stepchildren, Kim Antonelli (Frank) and Erica Whiting (Steve); his grandchildren, Brandi Payton (K. J.), Isabel Whiting, Gregory McGirt, Tony Ayres, Thomas Ayres (Emma), Jack Ayres, Dylan Ayres, Heather Mitchell, Lydia Antonelli, Nicholas Horner, Kristen Thorndyke (Gareth) and Ashton Sullivan; and his great grandchildren, Vlad, Victor, Miah and Kylen.
