With solemn reverence, we commemorate Dawn M. Cook of Monkey Island, Oklahoma, born in Decatur, Illinois, whose life came to an end on March 4, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Fear and Jean Fear; her brother David Fear; and her son Robert Leischner. She is survived by: her husband Roger Cook; her children, Wendi Turner (Jimmy) of Guthrie, OK, Larry Leischner, II (Lindly) of Cisco, Dana Chick (Kelly) of Argenta, IL, Tracey Fox (Michael) of Olathe, KS and Heather Crockett (Brian) of Deer Park, TX; her stepdaughter Rachel Cook of Midwest City, OK; her sister Jacqueline Disbrow (Ted) of Chandler, TX; and her daughter-in-law Tiffiany Leischner of Decatur, IL. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nichols-Stephens Funeral and Cremation Service (10201 US-59, Grove, OK 74344). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Donations may be made to WAAMI (Women's Auxiliary Association of Monkey Island) or to Second Chance rescue in her honor.
