He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Henry Staggs and Cora Louella Staggs (Terrell); his wife Mary Margaret Staggs; his grandson Brent Williams; and his siblings, Nina Staggs, Raymond Staggs, Johnny Staggs, Bobby Joe Staggs, Clifford Venters and Charley Venters.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Staggs Stalcup and Sharon Staggs Williams; his grandchildren, Bryan Stalcup, Ross Stalcup, Kristi Stalcup Moon and Wendy Williams Eliopolo; his brother Stanley Staggs; and his former wife Amanda Morton. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
