He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Whisler and Thelma Whisler; and his siblings, Sue Jacobs, Navina Whisler and Harvey Whisler.
He is survived by: his wife JoAn; his sons, David Macarty (Lori) of Midwest City and Sean Whisler of Norman; his grandchildren, Alyssa Wedel of Sentinel, Kristen Macarty (Cameron Durham) of Midwest City, Jordan Ritchie of Tulsa and Carson Whisler of Norman; his great grandchildren, Canyon, Braylee and Brixton Wedel; his siblings, Julian Whisler and Patsy Wright; and his pets, Tippy and Emmy. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to Wickline Methodist Church or Skyline Urban Ministries.
