With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of LeeRoy Henkes (Midwest City, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though LeeRoy may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry George and Opal Mary Henkes; his former wife Frances Joan Shurtleff; his spouse Janetha Woodard; and his son-in-law Steve.
He is survived by: his children, Houston Jay and Mary Kay; and his daughter-in-law Phyllis. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ford Funeral Service (305 S Sooner Rd, Midwest City, OK 73110). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Arlington Memory Gardens (3400 N Midwest Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73141).
