Joshua Shawn Wingate Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, after a hard battle with cancer, Type One Diabetes, Seizure Disorder, of Joshua Shawn Wingate (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), born in Midwest City, Oklahoma, who joined his mom in heaven on March 6, 2020, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family, his long time girlfriend, and many friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joshua Shawn Wingate to pay them a last tribute. You may also light a candle in honor of Joshua Shawn Wingate.
Joshua's life was his son, his pop's, and his girlfriend. He loved to make them laugh and have great adventures. He was always pushing his girlfriend out of her comfort zones to try new things. Sadly this isn't the greatest adventure he wanted for her not his family. But he's hopefully been able to achieve his greatest passion in life, and is finally at peace. Although we loved him greatly, he was tired and the Acute Myeloid Leukemia had taken its toll. He wanted to be remembered and not known as "another cancer patient" but for the kind of father he was. And any of his family and friends can vouch that he was a one in a million type of father, son, boyfriend, and friend.
A celebration of life will be held once all of he and my family, loved ones, friends and many many others health is not at risk. This global pandemic of Covid-19, has really taken its toll on many families and we don't want any more loss of life. As more information becomes available regarding the plans I will post the information here.
🕯️Native American Prayer🕯️
I give you this one thought to keep --
I am with you still -- I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's
hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
do not think of me as gone --
I am with you still -- in each new
dawn
