He was predeceased by: his parents, James Otis Smith and Mary Leona Smith (Robins); his significant other Charlene Paula Smith; and his son Charles Lee Smith. He is survived by: his daughter Paula Lynne Moats (Smith); his daughter-in-law Sheryl Lynn Rinish (Smith); his grandchildren, Selena Baxter (Eric King), Kimberly Goetz (Keith Goetz), James Moats (Katie Rose) and Brett Charles Smith; his great grandchildren, Jackson Ward, Kinzley Ward, Kora Ward, Luke Moats, Sophia Moats and Thalia Baxter King; and his pet Marina.
