He is survived by: his wife Rosie Ivon Abbott; his children, John David Abbott Sr. of Tahlequah, Rebecca Lynn Abbott-Mernieks of Newalla, James Warren Abbott (Mechele) of Moore and Rosetta Faye Abbott-Geis (Jarod Geis) of Newalla; his sister Shirley Faye Adcock; his sister-in-law JoAnn Abbott of Stratford; his brothers, Roger Elbert Abbott (Christine) of Hurst, TX and David Ray Abbott (Marlene) of Grand Junction, CO; his brother-in-law Tom Finney; his sisters, Janice Gallarneau (Cliff) and Sharon Annette Martin; and his brother-in-law Harvey Fix of Ponca City. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
