He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Aileen Weigant; his son David; and his siblings, Raymond M., Vernon M., Paul M., Myron M., Francis M., Richard M., Earl M., Wayne M., Robert M., Alice Smith, Bernice Kirian and Shirley Uribe.

He is survived by: his daughters, Janet Steward (Steve) and Barbara DeCicco (Michael); his grandchildren, Scott Steward (Michelle), Stephanie LaChance (Chad), Shanna Posten, Brandi Andruss and Anthony Hughes; and his sister Reva Jane Thompson of Marion. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.
