He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Salvatore and Marianna Gambitta (Cassara); his wife Marguerite Helena Foley; and his siblings, Salvatore Anthony Gambitta, Veronica Mary Gambitta Sterpe and Roslyn Mary Gambitta LaBalbo.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Richard Michael LaBalbo of Duncansville, PA, Frances Ann Sterpe Converse of Vernon, NY, Patricia Ann Sterpe of Oneida, NY, Susan Elizabeth LaBalbo Hiob (Howard) of Woodbridge, VA and Joseph Thomas LaBalbo, Jr. (Elaine) of Oviedo, FL.; his great-nephews, Andrew Howard Hiob of Morgantown, WV, Rusty Andrew Sterpe (Kierstin) of Blossvale, NY and Mark Joseph LaBalbo (Anna) of Oviedo, Florida.; and also Elohi.
