We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2025, at the age of 86, Billy Ray Lewis of Midwest City, Oklahoma, born in Checotah, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Billy Ray may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet and Zearl; his wife Shirlene Lewis; his brothers, Carlus, Sonny, Charles and Dale Wayne; his son-in-law Romy Foster; and his granddaughter Krystle Nicole Martin-Neal.
He is survived by: his children, Teressa Foster of Midwest City, Keith Lewis of Tulsa and Kristal Lewis of Midwest City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren along with a host of family and friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel (120 S Broadway Ave, Moore, OK 73160).
