He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Pierson and Ruth Pierson (Martin); his significant other Maureen Pierson; and his siblings, Bill Pierson and Ellie Duke.
He is survived by: his children, Sara Temple (Benjamin) of Miami, Brian Pierson (Jessica) of Georgia and Michael Pierson (Emily) of Norman; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Temple, Conner Temple, Brayden Temple, Oliver Pierson and Theo Pierson; and his brother Tom Pierson (Phyllis).
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church.
