She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Downing and Gloria Reihl (Kennedy); and her sister Gloria Coffey. She is survived by: her husband Robert Pierson; her children, Sara Temple (Benjamin) of Miami, Brian Pierson (Jessica) of Georgia and Michael Pierson (Emily) of Norman; her siblings, Eugene Downing, Cathy Acton, Marion Tansey, Joan McGovern, Eileen Doty, Dianne Downing and Christine Downing; and her grandchildren, Mackenzie Temple, Conner Temple, Brayden Temple, Oliver Pierson and Theo Pierson.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions to First Christian Church.
