He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Henry and Esther Charity Childers (Lynch). He is survived by: his wife Anita Slavens; and his children, Brooke Green (Jeff), Matthew Childers (Amanda), Gene Childers (Jane), Joey Childers, Casy, Alan Childers and Tonya Dickson. He is also survived by three brothers; five sisters; fifteen grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family and friends.
