It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Vernon Swopes of Miami, Oklahoma, born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on September 6, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Noel and Eva May Swopes (Dunning). He is survived by: his wife Pauline Swopes (Gerbitz); his children, Jered Swopes (Rebecca) of Miami, OK and Rachel Berlik (Michael) of Miami, OK; his siblings, Joe Swopes of Bella Vista, AR, Jim Swopes and Joyce Smith of Miami, OK; and his grandchildren, Madeline Swopes, Jaden Hardee and Emma Hardee.
