He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Merwarth and Rhea Merwarth (Wilson); his son Michael William Hoizington; and his siblings, Peggy Stover, Jo Ann Cook and Donald Merwarth.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Jane Lewis of California; and his friend Charlotte Wade.
