He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine Carroll and Gene Carroll; and his brother David Carroll. He is survived by: his wife Linda Peters; his brother Joe of Afton; his sons, Rick Carroll (Lisa) of Carrollton, TX and Mike Carroll (Annette) of Carrollton, TX; his grandchildren, Nick, Justin and Stephanie; and his stepgrandchildren, Alexandrea and Gavin. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.

Gary wishes were that in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to any local non-kill animal shelter in his name.
