Lavinder, Sr. (Eddie) of Danville and Joyce Talbott Purnell (Peat) of Blanch; his siblings, Crystal Ardo (Frank) of Naples, Casey Lavinder (Tim Nixon) of Richmond, Virginia and Miles Lavinder of King George, Virginia; his niece Frances Ardo; his nephew Theodore Nixon; his uncles, John Lavinder and Steve Talbott; and his grandmother Velma Talbott.
