He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Hopper and Alice Hopper (Ivy); and his siblings, William Hopper and Rose Sells. He is survived by: his wife DeLite Hopper; his daughter Julianne H. Buzzard (Chris) of Newport, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Eleanor Buzzard of Newport, Virginia, Joshua, Katie Buzzard of Fredericksburg, VA, Caleb Buzzard, Rob Stalzer of Fredericksburg, VA, Anna Buzzard (Daniel Ache) of Fredericksburg, Ivy and Adam Cirillo of Long Beach, California.; and his great grandchildren, Audrey, Ada, Emmitt, Eliza, Oliver and Dominic.
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church or Good Shepherd Hospice in Grove.
