Hazel Elsie McEwen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Elsie McEwen of Meridian, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 18, 2022, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roger Goodrich and Elsie Goodrich (Mahnke); her husband Kenneth Floyd McEwen; her children, Bruce and Virginia Shreffler; and her brothers, David and Floyd Goodrich.
She is survived by: her son Richard McEwen (Alice) of Edmond, Oklahoma; her grandsons, Jeremy Shreffler (Karina) of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Cory Shreffler (Mary) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jacob McEwen (Meaghan) of Midwest City, Oklahoma; her great grandchildren, Clara, Adam, Elyse Shreffler of Sand Springs and Mallory Shreffler of Oklahoma City; her son-in-law David Shreffler of Guthrie; her sister-in-law Marvel Goodrich of Noble, Oklahoma; and her nieces, Brenda Nivens (Gary) of Coyle and Marlene Stangl (Joe) of Guthrie.
In keeping with Hazel's long standing tradition of donating to the OMRF each time a loved one passed, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
