He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Wedel and Hilda Wedel; his daughter Gena Haffner; and his brothers, Glenn and Bill.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Wedel (Dori) of Meno; his children, Andy Wedel (Linda) of Ringwood, Randy Wedel (Adrienne) of Bethany, Michelle Ratzlaff (Brent) of Meno and Michael Kampstra (Michelle) of San Antonio; his grandchild Ryan Haffner (Aubrey); his children, Brock Haffner (Shelbi), Courtney Miller (Michael), Kacie Wedel, Kenzie, Todd Wedel, Emma, Sadie Ratzlaff, Ethan Ratzlaff (Kaylee), Kate and Maddie Kampstra; his siblings, JayDee Wedel (Doris) and Darlene Holub (Verland); and his siblings-in-law, Donna Wedel, Vinnie Smith (Julie) and Cheryl Hessler (Jim). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Although we mourn his loss, we are relieved that the chains of Parkinson's and dementia no longer bind him.
