He was predeceased by: his parents, John Verner Smith and Opal May Smith (Williams); his siblings, Thelma, Ruth, Lora, Margaret, John and Larry; and his wife Caryol Jean Smith (Johnston).
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Emily, Tyler Day of Shawnee and Kyler Smith of Broken Arrow; his brother Donald; his sister-in-law RuthAnn Smith of Mississippi; his sister Lindy Sue; and his siblings-in-law, J. D. Flowers of Tulsa, Wanda Smith of Colorado, Marcella and Elmer Pense of Broken Arrow. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and other extended family.
