He was predeceased by: his mother Ruth Etta Thompson (Williams); his wife Betty Charlene Thompson; his parent Byron Thompson; and his brother Dale Thompson. He is survived by: his sons, Aric Thompson of Cumming, GA and Sean Thompson of Midwest City; his grandsons, Christopher Thompson of New Smyrna, FL, Michael Thompson of Cumming, GA and Caleb Powell of Cochran, GA; his sister Melody Benson of Cherokee; his stepsons, Anthony Powell (Rebecca) of Cochran, GA and Travis Powell of Chandler; his aunt Janice Williams of Midwest City; his mother-in-law Betty Ott Melton of Stroud; his sisters, Kathy (David Helm) and Gail (Danny Paine); his sister-in-law Joy Bly of Edmond; his niece Desiree Gibson of Cherokee; his nephews, David Thompson of Garber and Ian Benson of Midwest City; and his former wife Christine Harpin. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; 1 great-great nephew.
