He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellsworth "Jack" Downing and Bertha McClaflin Downing; his sister Jackie Downing; his grandparents, Elmer, Lizzie McClaflin, Harley and Maybelle Downing; and his great-niece Mallary Herrera.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Taber; his sons, Billy Downing (April) and Kurt Downing (Tiffany); his brothers, Steve Downing (Linda) and Kevin Downing (Mary); his aunt Alice Allen; and his grandchildren, Emma Downing (Jarrett Ellis), Kale Downing (Lindsey Halsted), Jackson Downing (Cambri Moore), Kinley Downing, Olivia Downing, Kenah Downing, Grady Downing, Kye Downing and Kru Downing. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Medford Church of the Nazarene or made to the Wakita Community Health Center with the memo reading Generator Fund through the funeral home.
