He was predeceased by: his parents, Hosie Loftin Henson and Beatrice Metheny Smith; his great grandchild Kyler Rizkharati; and his siblings, Herbert Henson, Shirley Mattingly, Norma Harl and Melba Poindexter.
He is survived by: his children, Sherri Henson, Gary Turner, Joanna Turner and Vanessa Jantzen (Trenton Jantzen); his grandchildren, Ashleigh Clark, James Turner, Jared Rizkharati, Maisie Rizkharati, Robert Baysinger and Kenzie Baysinger; his great grandchildren, Jadyn Hodde, Jacelyn Hodde, Keaton Turner, Jordon Hodde, Kaden Turner and Millie Rizkharati; and his sisters, Betty Copeland and Linda McAlister. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
