He was predeceased by: his parents, Pierce Fields and Willa Mae Fields (Hendrix); and his siblings, Bo Fields, Dib Fields, Mary Johnson and Helen Walters.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Johnson of Wright City; his children, Josh Fields, Jr., Michelle of Paris, Brenda Davis, Rod of Valliant, Gina Shelton and Danny of Wright City; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Nathan Coulter), Stephen (Ashlie Clark), Shalan (Wesley Prince), Josh Lee Fields III, Kim, Bransen Shelton (Amanda), Shiane (Ryan Gillham), Logan (Sarah Davis) and Dylan Jaco; and his siblings-in-law, Jonell Fields and James (Brenda Johnson) of Wright City. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
