He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Johnson Banta II and Frances Lenore Banta (Davis); his sister Lenore Gay Rhodes; his brother-in-law Charles Leonard; and his parents-in-law, Lena and Thomas Swafford.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Swafford; his sons, Ira Johnson Banta IV of Broken Bow and Keith Banta (Adrea); his sister Barbara Leonard of Siloam Springs, AR; his brothers-in-law, Loyce Swafford (Nancy Swafford) of Broken Bow and Joe Rhodes of Idabel; his grandchildren, Amy Arms, Melissa Arms, Heather Woodral, Kyra Taylor, Ira Johnson Banta V, Derek Banta, MaKennlee Banta, Kelsen Banta, Eden Banta, Zoey Banta, Raegan Banta, Katrice Banta and Jaden Banta; his great grandchildren, Aaron, Adam, Addallee, Jaxon, Emmett and Ira Johnson VI; and his nieces and nephews, Joanna Hall (Michael), Debbie Atchley (Danny), Michael Swafford (Carie), Aaron Leonard, Carl Leonard and Brian Banta. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
