He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Durant and Minnie Wesley Durant; his wife Nellie Jo Brail; and his siblings, William Durant, Laura Durant, Francille Durant, Rosie Tidwell, Bonnie Hughes and Dorothy Louise Powell. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
