As Willie Mae departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Willie Mae may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Willie Mae leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William T. Smith and Hazel Catherine Smith (Hardy); and her spouse J. J. Hays. She is survived by: her nephew Kase Martin; and her siblings, James Smith, Betty Williams and Donna Robinson.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Funeral Brumley-Mills Funeral Home (1410 E Carl Albert Pkwy, McAlester, OK 74501).
