He was predeceased by: his great grandchild McCoy Grant; his grandparents, Jesse, Lizzie Cates, Lura and Fannie Skinner; his father Herbert Skinner; his brother Douglas Joe Skinner; and his stepfather Alan Gayhart, Jr..

He is survived by: his mother Opal Skinner (Cates); his wife Donna Parr-Skinner; his children, Nick Skinner (Angela), Wendi Collins (Junior) and Faith Phelps (Josh); his grandchildren, Cami Grant (Lane), Kati Collins, Abbi Collins, Ava, Graci Skinner, Henry and Rosie Phelps; his parents-in-law, Wanda Parr and Don Parr; his sisters-in-law, Kay Findley (David) and Reba Riley; his nieces and nephews, Kaydee Durkee (Steve) and Grant Findley (Aubrey); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Cayden Durkee, Ella Findley, Carson Findley, Brynlee Durkee and Landon Findley; his siblings, Greg Skinner (Connie) and Cheryl Skinner-Johnson (Skip); and his nieces and nephews, Colten Skinner, Cade Skinner, Shane Skinner, Jennifer Leigh, Jessica Morris and Josh Morris. He is also survived by friends, neighbors.

Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory (110 S 3rd St, McAlester, OK 74501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church (106 Shady Grove Rd, McAlester, OK 74501).
