She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Wilkerson Parris and Hester Vivian Pratt-Parris; her son Jack Stephen Claxton; and her grandson Stephen "Mac" Bartheld. She is survived by: her daughters, Jill Hutchison and Jerri Bartheld; her sister Betty Testa of Tulsa; her nephews, Ron (Dawn Testa) and Marty (Christine Testa); her granddaughter Heather Eddy (Jared); her great grandchildren, Addison Mae, Cade French, Makadyn, Brodie, Landon Eddy, Camryn Paige Weber, Bentley, Suttyn Reynolds, Garrett, Jayden Shumway, Stephen "Kaine", Daxton, Diem, Declan Bartheld, Brooklyn Myers, Maddox Sims and Aiden Bryant; and also Kelli Sims.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Vine, formerly Baptist Children's Home, OKC, a Family-Focused Care center that was developed to help single mothers, who may have limited or no support/resources in her memory.
