He was predeceased by: his parents, George Edwin and Rosa Lee Hamblen (Harmon); his brother Dennis Hamblen; his son Eric Hamblen; and his grandson Jace Hamblen.
He is survived by: his wife Melissa; his son Michael (Melanie) of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Heath Hamblen of Moberly, Kaylee, Emma Hamblen of Carrollton, Emilie Miles (Drew) of Shelbyville and Dyllan Hamblen of Macon, Missouri; his sister Carolyn Hamblen of McAlester, Oklahoma; and his stepdaughters, Rebecca Bailey of Columbia and Sara Bailey of Kansas City, Missouri..
