She was predeceased by: her parents, James Crosthwait and Rozetta Crosthwait. She is survived by: her husband Leon Bernard; her children, Steve Bernard (Robbie) and Sandra Younger (Joe); her grandchildren, Summer Westbrook, Jim Westbrook and Ryan Bernard; and her siblings, Jim Crosthwait, Willa Cliftt and Joy Berry.
