He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Layton and Mabel Layton (Barton); his son Brent Alan Layton; his wife Arletha Layton; and his siblings, Jackie Layton and Nona Gardner.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Heath Layton, Kelly of Pocasset, Tim Henderson of Lindsay, Danny Henderson of Lindsay and David Henderson of Lindsay, Oklahoma; his siblings, Dwain Layton (Maxine) and Sheilla Munger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Brayden Layton, Brittnany, McKenzie Layton, Heather Scribner, James Henderson, Jeremy Bagley, Justin Bagley, Kelzie Scribner and Declan Henderson; his great grandchild Lane Layton; and his close friend Pat Martin.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 31st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Erin Springs Baptist Church (13053 Oklahoma 76, Lindsay, OK 73052, United States).
