She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle Johnson; her husband James Selman; and her siblings, Roy Johnson, Ray Gene Johnson, Lois Pickens, Clema Bowlby, Dicey Bourlan, Jewell Whitlock, Jearline Havins, Geneva Smith and Bessie Smith.

She is survived by: her children, James Lee "Squeaky" Selman of Maysville, John Wesley Selman, Jackie of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Jeannie Kay Tillery (Larry) and Kelly Spence (Jeremy). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 8 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Maysville Cemetery.
