She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Patterson and Martha Patterson; her husband Walter Jack Elam; her sons, Walter Elam (JR) and Kenneth Elam; her siblings, Jewel Chambers, Christine Wybark, Naomi Largent, Tommie Weyrick, Rodger "Coy" Patterson and John Patterson; and her son-in-law Wayne Trobee.
She is survived by: her daughter Bonnie Jo Trobee; her grandchildren, Jackie Davis (Ron), Wesley Trobee, Rusty Elam (Kelly), Kelly Elam (Kristi), Stacy Brown (Paul), Shane Elam (Terina), Heather Ruthstrom (Jason) and Curtis Elam (Misti); her brother Roy Patterson; and her daughter-in-law Ramona Elam. She is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great grandchildren.
