It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lee Kennedy (Marlow, Oklahoma), born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, O. W. "Heavy" Kennedy and Marie Kennedy; his brother Pat; his nephew Bill Kennedy; and his in-laws, R. B. and Hazel Shoemaker.
He is survived by: his sister Ann Marie (George Bleything); his friend Robert Dills; his daughter Janet Lynn (Terry Bergner) of Marlow, OK; his sons-in-law, Scott and Terry; his wife Ruth Ann Shoemaker; his daughter Angela (Scott Arthaud) of Keyes, OK.; his grandchildren, Wakley Bergner (Madison), Wyatt Bergner (Erin), Will Bergner, Abigail Paugh (Alex), Micah Arthaud (Kymber), Luke Arthaud (Siarra), Caleb Arthaud and Ridge Arthaud; his brother Tony (Sheryl Kennedy); and his close friends, Wayne and Gari Laminack. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 6:30 PM at 807 S Ninth St, MARLOW, OK 73055. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (213 N Broadway St, Marlow, OK 73055).
The family requests memorials be made to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.
