She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob "Jake" Elias and Bessie Mae Gordon (Kirk); her husband David Royce Howerton; her son Brent Howerton; her brother Bill Cooper (Carolyn); and her sisters-in-law, Betty Jo Gordon, Sandra and Dixie.
She is survived by: her children, R. J. Howerton (Cheryl) of Whitesboro, TX and Vikki Hallum (Greg) of Rubottom, OK; her daughter-in-law Tanya Howerton of Calera, OK; her grandchildren, Avery Howerton, Evan Howerton, Steven Doggett (Amanda), Bree Hallum, Ryan, Ally Howerton and Aaron; her great grandchildren, Luke, Case, Reed, Palmer, Maizey, Harrison and Oliver; her brother Johnny Gordon of Jimtown, OK; and her nephew Joe Gordon.
