She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hughes and Juanita Hughes (Embry); her husband Claud Monroe Clifton; her children, Claude Clifton, Jr. and Betty Jane McKinney; her siblings, Leonard "Toots" Hughes, Ernest "Cotton" Hughes, Winston "Buddy" Hughes, Robert "Junior" Hughes, Estlena Stuckey and Ruby Owens; and her great great grandchildren, Carson James and Mason Leigh.
She is survived by: her sons, Ricky Clifton (Danna) of Marietta and Tony Clifton (Debbie) of Marietta; her daughter-in-law Karen Clifton of Ardmore, OK; and her siblings, Austin Roy Hughes of Marietta and Geneta Clover of Oklahoma City. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
