He is survived by: his wife Cherie Renee Cooke; his sons, JD, Colton Lane Gardner (Leticia) of Royce City and James Daniel Gardner of Mesquite, Texas.; his granddaughters, Amaya Renee, Liberty Layne, Aleia Erin and Ava Lane Gardner; his sister Dana Lee Johnson (Jon) of Midlothian; his nephews, Sean Michael Johnson and Kelly Miles Johnson; and his aunt Diane Baptiste Thorne (Robert) of Midlothian.
