He was predeceased by: his parents, Orvis Flanagan and Ruby Jane Flanagan (Lawson); his great great grandchild Teagan Prince; his son-in-law Steven Creecy; and his nephew Daren Flanagan.

He is survived by: his wife Alice Jean; his children, Carolyn Gordon (Larry), Charlotte Creecy, Bill Flanagan (Reba), David Flanagan (Mona) and Kevin Flanagan (Sherry); his siblings, G. W. Flanagan (Erma) and Virginia Bone (Johnny); and his grandchildren, Sarah Gordon, Rebecca Sullivan (Brad), TaShonda Fortune (Greg), Misty McAfee (Steve), Raigan Smith (Derek), Cole Flanagan (Jessica), Thomas Creecy (Katy), Alison Gurley (Travis), Whittiny Barber (Nick), Laney Carroll (Jason), Tyler Prince and Dylan Prince. He is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren, along with nephews and nieces.

Family suggests any memorial contributions to be made to the Eastside Baptist Church of Marietta.
