She was predeceased by: her parents, Saudy Young Thompson and Bertha Beatrice Howard Thompson. She is survived by: her children, Linda Jeanne Deringer of Lake Bridgeport, Texas, William Duncan Deringer (Jayne) of Mannsville and Edmon Thompson Deringer of Veguita. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and their families; and four great-grandchildren.
Lu was a member of the Mannsville Methodist Church and a long-time RSVP volunteer at Mercy Hospital.
