He was predeceased by: his parents, William Alexander Compton and Pearl Flossie Compton (Hunsaker); his son Chuck Compton; and his son-in-law Dale Owens. He is survived by: his former spouse Billie Smith of Shamrock, OK; his wife Kathleen Barnes of Mannford; his daughter Sharon Owens of Jenks; his stepsons, Billy Seals (Victoria) and Brian Seals (Shirley); his grandchildren, Travis, Chris "Cory", Jennifer and William; his great grandchildren, Kennedy, Avett and Cale; and also, Bristow and Mustang.
